Dionysus is a party organised by Peacefullspecies / Bugklinik :
Peacefull species is a Belgian party organization which started the Dionysus parties in 1999. Starting with 350 visitors on the first one, almost 1000 visitors showed up for the last two editions, which where number 8 and 9. Next to the Dionysus rave they also present other parties with different styles of music such as jungle, drum and bass, electro, different techno, electronics, ambient, reggae, hip hop, … All these styles are confronted in various rooms on the Dionysus parties. A long the way some highly recognized international artists played liveacts at Dionysus such as Mike Paradinas, Bogdan Raczysnki , Ovuca , Mike Dred , D'arcangelo, Hrvatski, Hellfish, …next to promising Belgian dj's and live acts and the specie residents. Since last year they present the Dionysus on tour concept. Specie artists travel next to Belgian and international artists who all played at Dionysus parties before.

Aleksi Perala, young "braindance" artist coming from Helsinki Finland. Started experimenting with synths and tape-manipulation from the age of 11. Now he is producing music which can be placed in the category of "cut-up eletronica", which is sometimes funny and sometimes very melancholic. After working on remixes, film-music and after sending tons of demo's he finally signed with one of the most respected labels for the longtime: "Rephlex"; the home of artists like Aphex Twin, Mike Dred, D'arcangelo, Mu-ziq, Luke Vibert... He released several albums and ep's on Rephlex under his initial name Ovuca. His latest album was a three part EP released under his pseudonyme: Astrobotnia, before he always released under his alias "Ovuca". Astrobotnia plays live sets with his laptop assaulting dance-floors worldwide... In 2002 he joined the Rephlex crew for an exclusive tour in USA and Japan. Latest release: collaboration with Cylob: Cylobotnia.

Subjex live
Young French artist who makes music with his pc, active in the Incorrect, Bedroom Research crew. Got signed with the highly respected Planet-Mu label, runned by Mike "µ-ziq" Paradinas, after playing on one of the Dionysus parties. Before he released some stuff on the Bedroom Research compilation. One of this tracks got remixed by Phoenecia, and some of his productions will appear on Bug Klinik, Combine,…in the (near) future. His music is dance-floor orientated most of the times, al dough he doesn't forget emotions and melody.

X&trick dj
Young Belgian dj, producer, party-organiser and label…X&trick is crossing for musical frontiers since more then 7 years now. He started buying records at the age of 17, since then his interests in everything which had something to do with electronic music has only became bigger and bigger. In 1998 he founded the Belgian collective called "PeacefullSpecies". They are organizers of the "Dionysus" rave…a massive party with a crowd up to almost 1000 people. They hosted and introduced artists like Mu-ziq, Astrobotnia, Mike Dred, Bogdan Raczynski, Somatic Responses, Hrvatski, Hellfish,... These days X&trick is traveling around to play his dj-sets which are an high quality mix of every crazy sound you ever heard of. Known for his mixing skills he mashed the place up in citys like Paris, Lyon, Brussels, Zurich, Antwerpen, Ghent, Orleans, Fribourg, Brussels and afcourse his beloved hometown Ghent (remember R&S?)….Next to his busy schedule he still finds some time to produce his own sounds which are going to released on his own label "Bug klinik". A new Belgian label which he started on his own with the filosofy of giving new artists a change to prove themselves next to highly respected artists.

Zeck dj
Young Belgian dj talent. Member of the Mutate crew in Ghent, responsible for several parties in the Flemish area. Zeck is known to be one to most vinyl addicted dj's in the world, so watch out if he strikes on a stage near you! Expect something new, expect something fresh…
